In the past, water well rehab was conducted with a cable tool rig, brush, and swab. This method of cleaning did a stellar job of shining the inside of the casing but missed a huge portion of this project – rehabbing and cleaning the inside and out of the casing into the annular space. It is vital to clean the gravel pack and into the alluvial fill behind the casing. This is only possible with a combination of high-pressure air, hydrochloric acid, and corrosion inhibitors. Throughout Arizona, water is high in calcium and salt and because of this make-up, an added importance of well rehab is present. Calcium and salt can build up in the casing to the point where perforations will be completely plugged. The only way to do a 360 clean of the system is through the combination listed above. A precise calculation must be completed to break down the calcium and salts in the water well. Our company has developed, machined and manufactured a special tool to complete this task.
